Meet the TeacherI discovered my passion for teaching for as long as I can remember. I believe in a classroom that fosters metacognition, self-directed learning, and divergent/ creative thinkers! In my classroom, I encourage academic rigor, respect, collaboration, and self-autonomy. Great and wondrous things can happen when we work together as a community! I look forward to a wonderful teaching and learning experience this year in our class!
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in New York City (Staten Island to be exact)! I have two older siblings and they are my best friends! I attended the State University of New York College at Buffalo for my Bachelor's Degree, and Hunter College for my Master's Degree. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, watching old movies, running, visiting my NY Public Library, cooking, baking, embroidering, and of course learning! I believe we are powerful people; in the words of novelist, Toni Morrison, "If there's a book you really want to read but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." |
I am Ms. Imperiale, a G&T teacher, at the marvelous Chelsea Prep!"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin
